Nisso Laurent

Nisso Laurent is a Tupuri Christian from the Far North of Cameroon. He comes from a family that mixed nominal Christianity and traditional religion. However, some time after moving south to Yaoundé, as a young man, he trusted Christ as his Saviour and Lord – and what a change! In assemblies of believers in Yaoundé he has learnt much of the Scriptures and has a good understanding of the Gospel and what the New Testament teaches with regard to the local church.

In 2008, Laurent and his wife, Josephine, moved up here to Ngaoundéré to help in the new work opening up here. Laurent is an excellent personal evangelist – you cannot be in his presence long without the principles of the Gospel being discussed. He has been instrumental in starting the group at Manwi along with Raoul and Gilbert. His teaching is greatly appreciated by the groups of Tupuri that meet in and around Ngaoundéré. We hope that, in time, as a direct result of his efforts, we shall see one or more Tupuri assemblies established here.
